New Tutorial: Custom Series Introduction

Dear All,

We added a new tutorial for Custom Series. Sorry it took so long. You can access the tutorial from:

  • Go to the TOOLS->CUSTOM SERIES, then click on the [color=orange]Orange Tab[/color] on the right
  • In the TOOLS section of HELP->Tutorials

It takes a long time to create these tutorials. Let us know what you think and which other topics you’d like to see.

PS: We’d also be happy to hear if there’s interest in user submitted tutorials. Providing educational material could be a good way for designers to get their names out. We currently like Google Slides because of their simplicity and flexibility in editing the content. As you may have noticed we spent considerable amount of time building a framework for these tutorials: 1) they are categorized in the HELP->Tutorials section with stats and feedback 2) they are “context aware” so that they appear in the orange tab when they are relevant.

Thanks. It is great ! :wink: It would be great imho to see the rules used in the chart tab (as it may be easy to forget those when looking at the chart only). :wink:

Nice Tutorial Marco.
One thing that would be great to have in Custom series is the possibility to run Custom Series on Simulations.
Basically the portfolio of stocks at each point in time of a simulation. That would be very useful to analyse our simulations. i.e. average/median Market cap over time, valuation ratios, etc… This could be very useful.

Iavanti brought up a nice suggestion. This would be very helpful to analyse the characteristics of the historical components of a portfolio sim over time.
