TRADE is live

We successfully activated several TRADE accounts which can now place real trades. If your account status shows “Activation Failed” it means we could not get account info from IB. Please check with IB and let us know, and we will retry the activation. We only do activations once a day around 9:15AM Eastern

I sent you an email. You answered the second part above. In case anyone else is seeing this, I will repeat what I emailed.
I have two accounts activated. When I rebalance a BOOK and click on the TRADE button, the pop up window still only shows an account DEMO and not my real accounts.

I have to complete “I have authorized Interactive to allow ____________________ to provide me with trading signals”
Who do I authorise? Portfolio123.com?

I’ll get my account set up once we can get a limit field gets added to the REL order. https://www.portfolio123.com/mvnforum/viewthread_thread,7728 Until then it only handles only a portion of my possible orders.

I tried to set up my own order type, but even that dialog screen didn’t allow for a limit price.

So following up on the Book TRADE feature …

  1. When during the trading week is it available? Right now the TRADE button is ghosted. Or do I need to click on one of the other buttons in the Book feature to activate TRADE?

  2. At the moment my Book $ values are not in sync with the trading $ value I wish to assign in my actual IB portfolio. So two question … how best to sync the two? I suppose I could adjust the $ value of the Book but that may not correspond with the actual shares I’m holding in the IB portfolio. And furthermore, if I adjust the $ value of the Book, what happens to my performance stats as calculated here on P123?

My account base currency is the British Pound.
The $ value of cash in the account is actually the GBP amount.
How best to sync the 2?

We’ll add a new REL-LIMIT that requires limit price

Press rebalance, then the TRADE button becoms active

Synching live ports/books is something we need to brainstorm

Currency is not handled at the moment . Everything is assumed to be USD

Does the base currency affect anything in Trade or anything else in P123? For example does it read the account balance for position sizing or is all that internal P123stuff? If nothing read from IB then currency probably doesn’t matter.

Steve - You might want to find out how IB does currency conversion before you start trading. Otherwise you could find yourself paying huge spreads converting to and from USD each trade.
