New benchmarks and hedges added

We’ve added the following benchmarks to screens, simulations (including hedges), ranking systems, and aggregate series:

S&P Small Cap (IJR)
S&P Mid Cap (IJH)
NASDAQ 100 3X Long (TQQQ)
NASDAQ 100 3X Short (SQQQ)

We’ve also added a volatility index (VXX) to simulation hedges.

For Manage strategies and accounts, we’ve added the following benchmarks:

NASDAQ 100 (QQQ)
USA All Stocks (VTI)
Russell 1000 (IWB)
Russell 2000 (IWM)
Russell 3000 (IWV)
USA Microcaps (IWC)
Dow Jones Industrial Average (DIA)

Thank you for expanding the range of benchmarks.
It would have been nice to have Gold (GLD) included which I requested a while ago.

Thank you Yuval

Yuval, Why was NASDAQ 100 3X Long and Short added as benchmarks?

Also they have only been available since Feb-2010. So for a sim that begins 1999 all the performance stats and risk measurements relative to the benchmark are wrong.

For hedging, I was hoping you would add Nasdaq100 x1 Short ETF. x3 ETFs are not useful to me.

Steve, I agree. I can’t think of a strategy that one would want to compare to TQQQ or SQQQ?
I would rather have seen GLD as a new BM.

Hedging is not available for ETF strategies.

This is the message when trying to run at ETF sim… How do I employ TQQQ for example

I want to be long TQQQ and short (SQQQ) during the ‘exposure list’

Thanks. What’s the ETA on the equal weight benchmarks?

Would it be possible to allow custom series to be chosen as the benchmark in a sim? How difficult to implement? Then a series for GLD would suffice as a benchmark, for instance…
