Getting a "No Universe defined" error for a few Live Portfolios

Getting a “No Universe defined” error for a few Live Portfolios when I try to rebalance I have not changed anything (The Universe is All Fundamentals- USA)

You are not the only one getting this error.
Also getting: UnhandledExceptionHandler: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION when trying to rebalance a live portfolio.

also getting a “No Universe defined” error in some Aggregate Series using S&P 500 as universe, and in screens using them

Must have something to do with the holiday on Friday.

Looks like it’s related to the SP500 universe which we update once a month from the ETF constituents. I’ll revert to prior month constituents until we figure out the cause.

Marco, you’re right, there is at least an issue with the SP500. My custom universes defined as subsets of SP500 are empty, those defined from other indexes work.

HI MARCO,

I’ll chime in here, but the issue goes beyond the constituent stocks of the S&P 500!

I’m getting the “No Universe defined” error on ETF-based Strategies, including P123 pre-built Universes such as “ALL ETFs,” but also my Custom Universes including the one used for my S&P 500 Bull/Bear Strategy, with this 5-ETF Universe: “ETF: SSO-SPY-SHY-SH-SDS.”

Another is a highly defined Universe (it includes FactSet liquidity rankings and the Merrill Lynch allowed ETF list, etc.) called “Equities+ ML.”

And there are more.

Please advise…

the problem was not there yesterday, Friday 4/2/2021.

I agree with Georg. I rebalanced a couple of live, ETF-based portfolios yesterday and Thursday and there was no problem.

Again, this is not just an issue with the S&P 500 or its constituent stocks. One of the models that’s disabled uses the ‘ALL ETFs’ universe, while others use Custom Universes: “No Universe Defined”

Georg: Are you having problems with any of your ETF models?

Please try now. Sorry about that.

Working now for me. Thank you Marco

Now I’m getting that error too.

We apologize for the inconvenience, this issue should now be permanently fixed.
