Passing of our Head of Technology

Hello everyone,

With heavy hearts, we are sad to inform to you that our head of technology, Ted Beck, has passed away. Ted was an extremely kind person. Ted was one of the first to join Portfolio123 and helped it become the company it is today. Those of you who knew or spoke with Ted probably knew how much he cared about everything from work, to family and friends, to new tech advances. Ted leaves behind big shoes to fill and memories of a friendly and caring person. Ted was a friend, husband, co-worker but more importantly, he was a great person. We are all deeply saddened by this news.

Warm Regards,
Hem

It’s been a very sad week for us. He’d been ill for a while, taking some powerful experimental drugs. It was still a shock to me because I always think modern medicine will eventually kick in, and get you better.

Ted has been with me from the very humble beginnings. You can see from all his post dating all the way back to 2006 . Many of his posts were in the middle of the night when everything crashed all the time. He never complained about that, and took pride in what he did.

Godspeed Teddy, I will miss you

So sorry to read that. I remember noticing he had not posted for some time.

I am at a loss for words. So, for now, all I can do is offer my condolences to his family and his second family = the P123 team.
Even knowing him only through the forum, he came across as a great individual. He will be sorely missed. I hope but also trust that you guys will find the strength to carry on.
