I would like to switch the GICS sectors to the RBIC sector definitions. However, I am having trouble identifying which RBIC group is the best fit for the Communication Services (XLC) sector that was spun off a while back. This critical sector includes companies like Facebook and is a leading sector for the overall market.
Can anyone advise what the best selection from the RBIC options fits the companies that are in the S&P Communication Services Select-Sector SPDR (XLC)?
XLC is a real mix. I would go with a combination of 10101010 (marketing and advertising services), 151510 (media and publishing services), 55201035 (web-based data and services), 55201520 (games software), and 60 (telecommunications). That should be pretty close, though it might rope in a few companies not in XLC.
