All, is there any interest over a stock picking contest for 2020? I don’t seem to find any posts in the forums.
Please let me know who’s interested, I’ll throw my hat in the ring.
For those who have participated in the past, if you could provide some guidance on how the process works, rules, etc. it would be great.

I’d be happy to participate myself once again.
The rules were that you have to pick twenty stocks with an average daily total greater than $50,000 and price greater than $1; we didn’t subtract anything for slippage. You have to submit your twenty stocks by market open on January 2, which is when you buy them; you hold until market close on December 31. There are no prizes, but there is conversation! You can submit more than one group of stocks. We also like to track Eddy Elfenbein’s picks for comparison. The picks should be in a clearly labeled public live strategy.

I’m a big believer in index ETF investing, so I simply took the top 20 holdings by weight of QQQ and VTI to see if the largest holdings of these indexes can beat other’s hand-picked stocks. I passed over GOOGL since I didn’t see a point of doubling up and holding both GOOG and GOOGL.
To have a fresh start on Jan 2 … I’m guessing we just delete transactions manually and get recommendations on the morning of Jan 2? Is there an easier way to reset it?
