The UL ticker for Unilever is acting funny this morning. In my live port it has been changed from UL to UL.1^94 and the port is asking that I sell it (because NO DATA) and replace it with UN.
I don’t see any evidence of any change to the ticker in Fidelity.
You guys have any idea what might be going on here?
Looks like they are consolidating to a single company financials with two different stocks, UN & UL.
The old company financials , which has data till 6/30/19, are still there but they are attached to a stock that only has prices till 1993. Which makes no sense.
S&P made UL a non primary stock of UN, all under the same finanacials. It’s a bit of a mess; their historical database probably doesn’t support this change of heart. They left behind financials that belonged to UL, and not sure they are going to re-state the entire history of UN. In other words they broke point in time rules and I don’t think they’ll do anything about it.
You should have ended up still owning the non-primary UL stocks which will generate a sell every time you rebalance because non-primary stocks are not handled in the engine. We’ll investigate. Thanks
