Dates are not PIT

WARNING: Dates are not PIT. At all.

The good news: CompleteStmt, QtrComplete, and WeeksIntoQ seem to be PIT.
The bad news: LatestActualPeriodDate, PeriodDateQ, LatestNewsDate, and LatestFilingDate are never PIT.

Please update the documentation to reflect this.

Source: I downloaded screen results last Monday after the final update with Rank data as of 07/27/19. I again downloaded the results from the same screen. Every single date changed retroactively.

My screen is here .

Doesn’t sound right. I know about LatestFilingDate which changes from N/A (19700101) to the date of the filing regardless of the PIT date, but not the rest. Can you share or email me the spreadsheet ?

Thanks

Marco, here is a sample.

The first tab (spreadsheet) was last weeks download of data that was a week old at the time. The second tab was the same data downloaded yesterday.

Within the second tab, ‘TRUE’ means that the data remained the same. ‘FALSE’ means that the data changed.

Thanks.

If you look at the dates in first tab you will see 8:00 PM. For some reason all the dates got shifted by -4 hours.

Not sure how excel did this

Now if you go to your second tab and adjust your comparison by +4 hours everything will match except a few LatestFilingDates what changed from NA to a value.

See my attachment. To add 4 hours simply do “+ 4/24”

Thanks Marco. I have no idea how those dates shifted by 4 hours. But you are correct and that’s excellent!
