How to see what's inside the ranking system.

Hello all!!

Just I would like ask a question;

If I have a ranking system based on a single factor, for instance Price/Book, and I want to see the figure of that P/B, not the ranking number itself,

What I mean, just to be clear, is: If my 2 position from my ranking system is XXX, wich one is the P/B that XXX have?

How can I do it?

I tried with Setvar, but I cannot see that number.

Thanks for any help.

The problem, to be honest, it’s that I’m little bit obssesed with the idea to understand what I’m really doing with the plattaform, and all the arrows spread out around when you make the rankings systems are not helping me so much.

The best way I found to do this is to run a screen where you define your factors using ShowVar() and then rank your factors in-situ using FRank().

Also, don’t forget to select “Screen Factors” in the report box.

This is pretty simple to do for simple ranking systems, but becomes more difficult with complex ranking systems.

I use screen reports for seeing actual data. That, and often the Stocks-Snapshot reports have much data needed (including P/bk).

edit: You’re probably aware, but in case not, you can customize additional “panels” in the Stocks-Snapshot report to include financial statements and various metrics. You can select from several pre-built report options, but they’re pretty useful. I use them often.
