I am trying to set up a screen to compare IWF (as a ticker in screen) and IWB (as a benchmark).
One of the rules I have is ticker(“IWF”)
When I run the screen, IWF never shows up in the result. If I add a stock ticker such as AAPL to the rule, AAPL shows up in the result.
The screen has a type of “Stock”. I tried to create a ETF screen, but I can’t because any screens I create is automatically a stock screen and I can’t change its type. I tried to change the universe of in the “Settings” tab to different values in the drop down but that didn’t help.
There are two ways to ask for a new screen, and one of those ways always creates a stock screen while the other allows you to choose a stock or an ETF or CEF screen. Clicking on SCREENER then New Screen always creates a Stock screen!
You need to click on SCREENER, then Screens so that existing public and your private screens are listed in the left column. Then click on the “New v” down button. That gives you the choices Stock, ETF, or CEF screen to make! When you create an ETF screen, the available universe list will change.
I would prefer not to have the confusion, but some might like it as it is.
PS:. IWB doesn’t seem to be in the available list of benchmarks for an ETF screen, but IWF is there. So to compare the two you might have to switch and use IWF as the benchmark.
