Alpha Site Bug

I can’t log into the Alpha site.
My guess is that it is truncating long passwords.

Can you provide more details or screenshot of error? It’s not the password length. Maybe the two factor authentication?

Thanks

I shortened my password. And eliminated non letters and non numbers. That worked.

I tried to reset the password,
the system sent me an email,
I clicked the link in that email at it did this:

Sorry for the delay. The password reset error happens because you sent the request from the “alpha” server and the confirmation email directs you to our production server (www.portfolio123.com). So if you start the password reset from the main site you will be able to reset your password correctly.

However, the length of your password should not be an issue. Do you have a browser password manager enabled? It might see the different url (alpha.portfolio123.com) and be auto-filling in an old password that you have used in the past.

Other than that, we’re still looking into your login attempt history to see if we can more accurately identify the issue.

thanks

I reset the password to one that was shorter and it had a capital letter as the first character.
That fixed it.

I also tried to change it back to my original pswd and that fails, so it must be something in the original password string.
Both strings had Upper&Lower case letters with numbers, no special characters.
The failed string began with a number, so maybe that’s it.
