My 2 cents.
It is your investment, you have to judge for FREE vs PREMIUM against out of sample performance cost.
if i kept my designer models are free; it is for some reason; i want to retain the historical performance for my records and learn some more lessons over period of time.
Disclaimer: i myself investing in PREMIUM models only. my PREMIUM models are result of re-visit, re-tune and refining of FREE models over period of the time and expected to perform better in out of sample.
