Can’t use FMedian or Aggregate in a fundamental chart

New today, I get a “not valid” comment if I use FMedian in a fundamental chart, either independently or in a formula.

It works for me with a quick test:

FMedian("Sales(0,TTM)")

And FMedian can’t be used alone. You have to say what you want to calculate it for. What are you trying to chart?

It’s interesting - I got on my laptop and had no problems at all. I’m using Firefox on a windows machine. However, on my Ipad I cannot use those functions in the fundamental chart section. It says the function is “not valid”. It’s not a big deal for me but it would be nice if it worked.

I wonder if the iPad is somehow munging up the quotes. Just speculation on my part.

Walter

I just tested it on Safari on my iPad and yup, problem. However I found that if I accepted the Javascript suggestion and has it autofill the suggestion then I could edit the text that is placed in the line. That worked.

This acted as a workaround for the issue, that indeed appears to be that the iPad keyboard is using curly quotes rather than straight quotes. I’m trying to find a way to enter it directly now…I’m guessing that the iPad has some way to enter straight quotes rather than curly or “smart” quotes.

EDIT: Figured it out. When entering quotes, use the ?123 button on the left of the keyboard. The quotes button should now appear just to the left of the return button. Rather than just pressing it, hold it down. Straight quotes should be one of the options that appears.

EDITEDIT: And thanks for the thought, Walter! Did the trick.

Thanks very much!
