Unemployment Rate not current

The BLS published the September unemployment rate of 4.2% on Friday 6-October at 8:30 am. This is the lowest UER in recent times. Compustat #UNEMP is not current. P123 should switch over to FRED ##UNRATE.

Thanks Geov for pointing this out.
Unemployment is an important parameter and therefore we need correct timely numbers.
The numbers we have here are NOT timely.
Marco: Please correct.
Thanks.

Werner

Is the #UNEMP old, stale or N/A? Where can I check this on P123?

The ‘Fundamental’ chart can be used to display the data. Does that help?

Walter

Thank you!

The ALFRED data (ALFRED is the point in time FRED) are only available in the Macro charts since they are the only ones that can handle the point in time format from ALFRED

Here’s the ##UNRATE which has the 4.2 value

The ability to use the ALFRED data in the simulation and screening engine in the to-do list.

Is there any update on this topic? we would like to work with the macro data as a Risk On/ Risk Off indicator.
thanks in advance!!
