New blended benchmarks

Hello,

You can now choose a blended benchmark in you simulations, backtests, charts, etc. It’s a weighted blend of SPY & BND. You will find them in the Benchmark drop-down around the middle:

Allocation SPY/BND
15% Equity 85% Bond
30% Equity 70% Bond
50% Equity 50% Bond
60% Equity 40% Bond
70% Equity 30% Bond
85% Equity 15% Bond

Let us know your thoughts. Thanks

NOTE: these benchmarks are total return. They are calculated by blending the weighted 1 day performance of each including dividends. It was easier for us to do it this way, and it makes very little difference to other ways of creating benchmarks (like quarterly rebalance).

This is awesome! Don’t want to sound ungrateful but the next step from here would be custom blended benchmarks, similar to custom universes.

Thanks Marco, nice addition.

Thanks Marco.
P123 is getting better all the time.

Thanks a lot Marco!

Thank you for acting on this Marco! The 60/40 works perfectly.

Good addition, Thank’s.
Would be nice to be able to blend any combination of (2 or more) “pure” benchmarks.

Thanks Marco and team!
I am currently using 90% SPY and 10% BND (calculated outside of P123). Could you please add that, too?

90% SPY and 10% BND is available now.

Thanks Marco! You are delivering amazing customer-centric development and service!

Thank you!

Many Thanks!

Marco,
I am finding the blended benchmarks extremely useful, especially now that we have a new rebalance module allowing weighted allocations.
It would be nice if you could add three more equity-bond blends.
20 : 80
40 : 60
80 : 20
These are the allocations which Vanguard uses for three of their four LifeStrategy funds. We already have the 60 : 40 blend available which they also use.

Thanks again for this great service.

Geov, added those three as well. Thanks

Thank you Marco, much appreciated.

I just noticed we have SHV (I use as a proxy for money market), VCSH and VCIT (corporate bonds) as benchmarks.

It makes it easier to compare various fixed income solutions.

Thank you!
