Screen of Screens

How does a Screen of screen select stocks in this example …

  1. Imagine 3 screens, each with 10 stocks, and each with its own ranking method. So 30 stocks total if left as is.
  2. They are combined into a screen of screens, no ranking system overly, and capped at 20 stocks.
  3. The screen of screens select the same 20 stocks each time (not just theoretical, it’s actual).

How does the screen of screens decide which 20 stocks to select?

Thanks,
Ed

So let me see if I understand correctly…

You have 3 underlying screens

You build a screen of screens and cap it at 20 stocks. How are you doing this? Are you limiting each screen reference to 7 stocks?

What I have found is that any reference to a rank or a rating(“”) does not work with screen of screens. You can only reference a screen (which has the rank embedded in it)

Kurtis

I go to Settings in the screen of screens and cap the # of stocks at 20.

I think the answer is that the screen of screens allocates stocks proportionately in this circumstance but I was looking for confirmation or another explanation.

I could be wrong but any time you add a number in the settings area without any logic (i.e. quick or normal rank - which shouldn’t work on SOS’s anyways), it will just randomly choose stocks. But P123 support should chime in to confirm.

That’s what I thought, but apparently not so for a Screen of Screens, so long as each screen has its own ranking. It’s the same stocks every time I run the screen.

I’m actually cool with it as is, I’m not looking for a “fix” as I like the proportional representation, just looking for confirmation or clarification.
