#UNEMP and ##UNRATE

I notice that ##UNRATE was updated immediately when the new number was announced. However, #UNEMP is the only series we can use in the screener and it has still not updated. Why not use ##UNRATE as a point in time series without revisions?

Re: #UNEMP and ##UNRATE

The simulations engine do not currently support the point in time series from ALFRED. It's one of the higher priorities in the to-do list. Sorry about that

Re: #UNEMP and ##UNRATE

Any answer to this?

1. Is #UNEMP being updated weekly?
2. When will ##UNRATE be available for use in formulas?

Re: #UNEMP and ##UNRATE

FRED UNRATE says 3.9 now for Dec, 2018
UNEMP in P123 says 3.7

Are they equivalent?

Re: #UNEMP and ##UNRATE

#UNEMP comes from the data provider, whose updates usually lag FRED by 1-2 weeks. Same for housing starts (which in addition is in thousands and rounded to 2 digits). It has been posted many times in the forum. Faster updates from the original source are supposed to be in project since 2016, but it seems it raises PIT issues for past data. Still waiting.
