RATIOS & STATISTICS / YIELD
Yield
Full Description

Yield (or Indicated Yield) represents the expected return an investor will get by buying the stock at the current price. It's calculated using the Indicated Annual Dividend (IAD) and dividing it by the latest price.

IAD comes from the data vendor whenever it is available. The calculation of IAD could be as straightforward as multiplying the last quarterly dividend by 4, but can be more involved or come from other sources, for example information in a press releases.

Formula

Yield = 100 * IAD / Price
