Bad data for AAL on 11/19/12?

P123 claims AAL could be bought for $0.37, whereas yahoo (with a smooth graph) says it was about $4. It causes a big gain (~300%) to become enormous (~3000%)

Which AAL are we talking about (what’s the full ticker). The current AAL (American Airlines Group) didn’t exist prior to Dec 2013.

It was American Airlines. I expect the merger is part of the reason for the problem. What I didn’t state in my original post was the 1 year hold time for the big gain (3,278.42%).

Rank data as of 11/17/12, Start Date: 11/19/12, End Date: 11/19/13

We’re investigating this. Right now it looks like an S&P data error.

Yahoo does not adjust for dividends. We do.

We found a problem with screen backtest when a company’s primary shares are substituted. The fix will go live tonight. Please try again tomorrow and let us know. Thanks

Thanks Marco. Looks much more credible.
