Re: Subscriber issue

I received this question from a subscriber. Please investigate:

Hi Tom.

I don’t know why but when I run the models SX20 and SX10 in Book Simulations, the date stops at 5th Jan 2015 rather than 22nd as of today. I have tried other models including your own spy-sh model and they are updating to the correct date.

I like to be able to see how the models I subscribe to are performing together and cannot get beyond 5th Jan on a combined portfolio basis.

Happy and Propsperous New Year to you.

I tried it in your account and seems fine.

The email came from ‘justinian’ if that helps.

Looks like he’s using R2G’s that were deleted. They are placed in a “graveyard” account and their names pre-fixed by “R2G::”

I guess we should delete them as “assets” from books when they are deleted

I should also add that when an R2G is deleted by designer it’s converted to a sim, so it stops updating.

I updated the R2G’s. This is likely the source of the problem. Sounds like you are linking to the ‘original sim’s.’ If a system is updated and the old sim deleted, there’s nothing to point back to? He’s still a subscriber in my R2G’s, so how can he run a book with the updated sim’s?

It’s no the revision process that causes this.

He’s using the R2G “SURFR - ETF Timing Stocks-Bonds (P=1, Low Turnover) V2” from designer dmicsa, which he has deleted.

All he has to do is remove that asset from the book.

Okay. Thanks. I’ll just point him to this thread and he can follow up if needed. Thanks for checking into this.

Thanks guys. Sorry to bother you.
