When hitting “Download” button I get “Invalid Screen Please contact customer support if this problem persists” message

These are screens I have used for years. Any idea what the P123 malfunction is? Thanks.

I’m getting same message when trying to download screen results

Should be fixed now. Thanks for reporting.

OK, great. Thanks.
But because it wasn’t working yesterday, I couldn’t download. Normally, I download the info I need for 2500 stocks(the daily download limit) on Sat. and then for the rest, about 2300 more, on Sun. So now I’ve downloaded the first 2500 and hit my limit for the day. Now instead of getting the info dowloaded in 500 stock chunks, I have to copy and paste 100 stock chunks(the highest par page display option), which is really cumbersome. I realize you can’t increase the download limits for contractual reasons, but can you at least change your display options so that in addition to the current 20pp, 50pp, and 100pp display options you can also have a Display All option? If that is also disallowed by your contract(though it is just for display and not download), can you at least have a 500pp display option?

Crickets. Guess I get no response re: increasing the number of results per page that can be viewed. Seems like it would be a very simple change.

Thank you for the suggestion, but the screen results are limited for the exact same reason that the downloads are limited.

The overall spirit of the download restrictions is that CompuStat doesn’t want us to permit people to create their own local copies of the database, particularly the historical database. We know that “screen scraping” happens, though, where people will take the data from the screen displays. (Well, the html docs that are delivered with the screen displays.) That’s why the display is also restricted.

OK, then how about adding some functionality, like being able to calculate averages of the screen results, such as for market cap or cash flow, etc.? Or being able to screen a specificed universe or list for average market cap, cash flow, etc.?

It would help if you show us what it all looks like. Are you creating your own stock reports where you can compare with industry/universe averages or are you only interested in universe averages?

Is simply adding average to every column what you need?
