Questions about Screener Advanced Backtest

I have a quick question about the advanced backtest result. How are “up market” and “down market” defined? Also, what do “min % no slip” and “max % no slip” mean? Thanks.

Aaron - Up market and Down market are defined by the benchmark index. If the benchmark is up during the specific period then it is an up market. Likewise for down market.

Min % no slip is the minimum percentage change based on all the stocks bought for the specific time period. No slip means no slippage is applied for the min percentage change. Same thing for the max %.

Reviving this thread as I have the same question and I don’t understand Steve’s answer. Does min % no slip mean that this is the lowest percentage gain seen by any one of my positions during that backtest period?

Hi, I also do not understand steve’s answer.

But I also suppose that

Min % no slip is the worst loss that the worst position made in that period without slippage
Max % no slip is the best gain that the best position made in that period without slippage
StdDev is the standard deviation of all position price changes in that period

All three metrics should give you an indication of the return distribution of the positions that meet the screen criteria in that period.
