Total Return is listed as a stock factor in the listing of Factors and Functions; however, I get an error message every time I try to use in rules or ranks. How can this be used?

Which ranking system, screen, port or sim ?

When I use Free Form in the screener and enter “Total Return > 1”, I get “ERROR: Invalid criteria in Rule 5. Error near ‘Total’: invalid command”

When I use “Total Return” in the Quick Rank of the screener I get “ERROR: Error near ‘Total’: invalid command in Quick Rank Formula”

This happens in both the stock screen and ETF screen.

Try TotalReturn with no space

You can’t use it in the ETF screener, only stock screener

Hi Marco, How can I find the 1 year Total Return of an ETF? (to be used in a ETF Screen).

There seems to be some confusion here.

“TotalReturn > 0” works just fine in an ETF screen. (I think Marco is working too hard again.)
