Download simulation results with specific data fields? Reply to this Post
Reply with Quote

Hello – I am new to Portfolio123 and am using the 30day trial version to see if it provides the functionality I need. So far, I am very pleased, though I have recently run into a stumbling block.

I have been running test simulations, then downloading the transactions and reviewing them. I would like to be able to download the transactions and include certain data fields (example: EPS5YCGr%, PEG, etc.) but cannot find an easy way to do this. I do not see a way to this with the simulation. I thought I could get the data from a screen, then download and link to the simulation data in Excel, but that has not been easy. I tried backtesting a screen but the resulting data is grouped by screen date, making it impossible to download all the data at once (ie. have to download each batch individually). When I tried downloading a few of the batches, I received an error “Maximum number of historical report downloads per day exceeded”.

Is there a way I can run a simulation, then download the resulting transactions and include certain data fields? Being able to specify a report would allow me to do this, but I see no place to specify a report. If there is no way to do this with the simulation, is there a way I can download all transactions from backtesting a screen?

Thanks for your help.
