EPS Data Reply to this Post

Hello Marco,

Could you please do a quick quality check on Current and Next Year EPS you're getting from Reuter's? Not only has it been trending down, but yesterday's value took quite a dip, and seems incongruent with both Current and Next Year estimates in the market place. Thanks.

Might have been caused by AIG. Estimates this weekend for NextYEPS were 7.55, tonight they were updated to 2.99. But there was also a big split involved with AIG

The SP500 EPS estimates can seem very volatile from day to day, but the difference is only about $1. The smoothed trend is much more important. Maybe it is a bear trap sad

We'll keep an eye on it and double check, specially bc of the split
