Mutual fund data would be a big undertaking. Not only are there many more mutual funds than stocks, a lot of mutual funds get closed down or merged with other funds. That would create a major challenge to avoid getting a survivorship bias.

I would much rather see P123 focus on finishing the extra features concerning stocks such as shorting.

+1. Shorting, combining Sims and Ranks for performance measurement, and extending the database are much more bang for the buck.

I completely agree, but for the exact same reason, I think that this is an important undertaking.

According to the ICI, 50 million households own mutual fund. Not 1/10th of that own ETFs. I'm guessing that even though the P123 user base is more enlightened, and tends toward ETFs, there are still significant holding in mutual funds among us. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to apply the same metrics we apply to our stock and ETF portfolios to our mutual fund holdings?
