How to ruin a backtester Reply to this Post
Reply with Quote

I guess that P123 should remember not to fix something that it is not broken.
The "old" backtester was robust, simple, flexible and reliable.
With the new one, in Avanced setting, I cannot even get a simple 4week hold, weekly frequency, anymore. I keep getting absurd results from the future.
I am a trader, NOT a computer geek. I do not care what are the deep technical reasons why the backtester gives futuristic results. An explanation is not a solution, something that computer geeks frequently confuse about.
This is a formal request from a long time user to give me back the simple functionality of the old backtester.
I am begining to get tired of "improvements" that only damage functionality without giving back something substantial in return.
Martin (a very, very disappointed old user)
