Feature Request: Reference OHLC of Calendar Week or Month Reply to this Post
Reply with Quote

Allow the user to reference the calender open, high, low, or close of weeks or months. Allow offsets too.

This would be like looking at a weekly or monthly chart and being able to reference the OHLC of the weekly or monthly bars from them.

Currently one can simulate somewhat a week or month OHLC by looking back at the open 5 or 20 bars ago and the highest and lowest since and the current close and setting the appropriate offsets, however, those based on the calendar are more significant. Studies show the first and last couple of days of the calendar month have greater significance. Moreover, many longer term market players make decisions based on weekly or monthly charts so it is important to be able to reference the price data of these time frames precisely.

ttt

Not sure if this feature has been added/addressed since it was proposed, but it is something I would classify as 'crucial' for longer-term investment strategies.

Can anyone provide me with an update?

Thanks!
