rebalance dates Reply to this Post

Hi Marco-

looks like I am asking same question again:

On Garp Top Ranked:

-summary/quick stats shows last rebalance date as 9/5/04

-but last 10 transactions shows last trades on 8/16 (other than split on 8/31)

-rebalance page shows next rebalance will be 10/3/04

Why were last trades made on 8/16 then? Does this indicate changes are being made in portfolio in between rebalance dates? It would seem so.

thanks again,
Jim

On 9/5/04 a rebalance was run for this portfolio by mistake. No trades were generated and the end result is that it simply executed the rebalancing one week earlier.

All this goes to show that with P123 you don't have to be glued to the markets so that you don't miss entry/exit signals (like a technical/price target oriented trading system).
