I modified the weights in my ranking system "Long Term" this morning. I then saved it; closed out of Ranking, went to Simulations, opened up a simulation that used it and clicked on "Re-run Simulation". Nothing chnaged in the results on the summary page. The results were the same as before I had modified the weights. So I created a new simulation using the ranking system but with identical buy and sell rules and got the same results as before. I then closed out Portfolio123 and restarted it and it still gave the old results. Somehow, the changes I make in my Ranking system are not being saved. -Bob |

Bob, Can you make a copy of the ranking system then re-run the sim with the copy? The system stores the ranks for efficiency and its supposed to clear them out when a ranking system is updated. But before we dig into it lets make sure that it does in fact produce different results. ---------------------------------------- Portfolio123 Staff |

Marco- I think I figured out what was going on. I was working with a universe of about 200 stocks. So it should not be surprising that small changes in the ranking system didn't change which stocks were picked for a 5 stock sim. So I think the ranking system was saving my changes, but my changes didn't make any difference in the results. Thanks for your prompt reply. -Bob |
