Hi there, I would like to look at my SIMs with a TIMER which I'd like to follow. The (external) TIMER gives me the dates for buying and selling my portfolio or going to cash. Now I am looking for a way how to do this. Apparently there is no "equity curve" anywhere (except the graphic representation). Does anybody know how to find the equity balance for a specific date? Any other way to do this ? Thanks, Werner ---------------------------------------- [Edit 2 times, last edit by Koronbock at Jul 9, 2007 11:02:17 AM] |

Select "Interactive Graph" under the equity curve. Then select "download" and you will get the entire history of your equity curve downloaded into a file. You can then load it in with a spreadsheet. Is that what you are looking for? Steve |

Werner, If you want to see how the timing signals would have worked with your sims, you can create Exposure Lists based on the historical timing signal dates from the timer. Then when you run the sim, you pick the exposure list on the Simulation Period & Restrictions tab of the sim. The result is that the sim will go to cash during periods the timer said you should be in cash. Of course this is only useful if you are testing a scenario where you are either long or in cash. I wont help if you want to test a scenario where you go short during certain periods. ---------------------------------------- Dan |

Steve and Dan, thank you very much for your suggestions. Steve: It never occurred to me that one could select "Interactive Graph" under the equity curve. Must have looked at it hundreds of times but never thought this is a clickable link. Thanks. This will do the trick. Dan, also thanks for your suggestions.
