I-share Sectors Reply to this Post

It seems that all the I-shares have a sector classification of Financial, which doesn't seem right. See IEZ, IHE, IFH for examples. Does this field come from Reuters, or does P123 assign it? Thanks, Bill.

The industry for etf's is assigned by Reuters and we've noticed many times that it seems random. This and the fact that many fundamental ratios are NA's convinced me that ETF's should not be ranked with stocks. We plan to introduce ETF ranking/portfolios but the only factors that will be available for ranking and buy/sell rules will be technical in nature.

The etfs you mention slipped through the cracks and will be removed since they are polluting the financial industry group. Thanks for reporting this.
