Some SIMS will outgrow the fixed volume buy criteria and at some point in time no longer remain tradable as they are.


I understand this but on the above sims I was checking out, any portfolio based on one would become almost untradable at around the $200,000 mark which seems to be a little low. Anyhow, I guess that is the problem inherent with smaller illiquid or less liquid stocks - you just don't trade them, you buy & hold! - JP

I just stumbled about your post because I´ve been scratching my head over earnyield myself.

I always thought that earnyield returns earnings as a percentage of the stock-price but now I realize that it is actually a ratio. Was this always so or did they change that?

That would be a huge difference. Maybe your simulation was also affected by a yield that got turned into a ratio or vice versa.
