I have a trial subscription to Reuters PowerScreener 3, and I have noticed that many stocks have data that has not been updated recently. That is, the last quarter updated is 180 days ago, or more. In addition, I have a subscription to Zack's Research Wizard, and it has a ton of bad data: places where EPS is not the same sign as net income, places where they obviously typed 2005 instead of 2006 when enetering the most recent update date, etc. Do you screen the Reuters data for quality? I don't want to be ranking stocks with out of date data. |

stock fundamentals are not out of date, update are done in the end of each week, but its maybe true that reuters data quality isn't that good, due the numbers of company they are tracking. Hopefully portfolio123 is tracking these errors and trying to correct them. I talked some times to another fundamental data provider Thomson financial, they told me that they are not tracking as stocks as reuters but the difference remains in the quality and accuracy of data. I really hope that reuters data is good, so our sims here will be correct. |
