Decent Screen/Simulation for higher volume stocks Reply to this Post
Reply with Quote

I'm very new to this site and trying to search for an existing screen that fits my porfolio. I see a lot of small cap screens/simulations out there but never see them useful since the volume is too low.

I'm looking for a screen program with decent returns against higher volume stocks. I can live with:

PctAvgDailyTot(20) < 1

but not sure if I would want to go higher since I hate waiting for my trades to go through. Doesn't really matter if it's small, mid or large caps. 4 week reloading would be perfect..

Is there a way to search for such a simulation under the "Community Simulations" page?

Thank you in advance!

asenft,

it may be worth it to put a feature suggestion for the community sim search to display the "investment style", "asset class" (to me neither of these is good wording but this is what they usually call the distribution between small, mid, large cap and vlaue, blend, growth co's) in the search results.

Morningstat have that nice little nine square icon for identifying the "investment style" of a portfolio, fund.

We have so many indicators coming out in the search reasults now that it amight also be worth it to request a feature where the user can select what of the output values to be displayed and what not. Pretty standard for web app searches.

I see you joined recently. P123 has been pretty good at listenting to what the members will suggest - so go ahead and try. If people vote high for your suggestion it will come up in the to-do list.
