Noble Energy, Inc. (Noble Energy) is an independent energy company, which is engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development, production and marketing of crude oil, natural gas, and natural gas liquids (NGLs). The Company operates primarily in the Rocky Mountains, Mid-continent, and deepwater Gulf of Mexico areas in the United States, with international operations offshore Israel and West Africa. Its major projects include Galapagos, Aseng, Tamar, Gunflint, Belinda and Diega/Carmen. Its activities include geophysical and geological evaluation and exploratory drilling on properties. Its properties consist primarily of interests in developed and undeveloped crude oil and natural gas leases and concessions. It also owns natural gas processing plants and natural gas gathering and other crude oil and natural gas related pipeline systems, which are primarily used in the processing and transportation of its crude oil, natural gas and NGL production.
